Home of Buffalo Girl Soaps and toiletries. We are a family owned/operated business located in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Our farm is home to registered dairy goats, Thoroughbred and Arabian horses, guarding and herding livestock dogs and a few other pets and critters.
Living in an environmentally conscious manner has always been a goal of ours. Since we were starting from scratch with our home we wanted to incorporate as many energy saving and environmentally conservative ideas that our budget would allow. The result of years of planning and a lot of sweat equatity is a passive solar home powered solely with wind and solar power. Our home is a progressive design with all the amenities and comforts of modern living.
There is a misconception about off-grid or environmentally conscious living that is it too difficult or impractical for the average family. We have not found this to be true. With only slight adjustments to our daily routine, we have found that our lives have actually been enhanced by our decision to create this type of lifestyle. That is why we are eager to share all that we learn about renewable energy and subsistence living in the hopes that more people may be encouraged to make similar choices for themselves, their families, and their communities.

We think that bathing is one of life's simple pleasures. Therefore, the products you use to bathe with should be simply pleasurable. That is why Buffalo Girl Soaps are created without artificial preservatives, additives or colorants. Only the finest, grade A quality vegetable oils (not those hydrogenated vegetables oils), pure essential oils, freshly pasteurized goat's milk and natural colorants go into each of our handmade soaps. Our bath and body products also include natural ingredients such as herbs, salts, clays and essential oils in their purest and most healthful, unadulterated forms. So, less really is more when it comes to what you put on your skin!
